We’ve been here for years. OK, so technically this June will mark our official two year mark for operating as WP Site Care, but our history in the WordPress support and management game extends well beyond that. When we (I) launched WP Site Care in 2012, it was a concept, brand, and website, cobbled together by yours truly. I knew there was a place for this type of business in the WordPress ecosystem, but there were a lot of details that needed to pass through the refiner’s fire.
Nearly 500 clients later (wow, that’s humbling), I feel like we’ve finally begun to understand what our customers need from a service like ours.
New, More Personalized Branding
Our wrench and screwdriver have served their purpose. They’ve been a great placeholder for a budget-conscious support company with little to no design skills, but our company is growing up, and we’ve come to realize that our customers are looking for a lot more than a tool. They’re looking for a partner.
So today we’re retiring our old logo to make way for a new logo that better reflects who we are, and what we’re striving to be; your partner.
Our new branding package was put together by the brilliant folks at Blazer Six. I worked closely with Brody through a number of possibilities and iterations, and with every new development I was more and more blown away. Their work speaks for itself, but their personable, laid back approach to design is a massive value on it’s own. Go to them when you’re serious about amazing WordPress design. You won’t be sorry. And who knows, you might just end up with something completely unexpected.
New Website Design
If you’re reading this in an email or RSS reader, you’re going to want to click through to our website.
Now take a deep breath, and take it all in.
You see, our branding isn’t the only thing that’s been completely overhauled. Those same wizards who put together our new brand identity, also designed the gorgeous website that you’re looking at right now. It’s so much more than a fresh coat of paint. From usability, to highlighting new workflows and services, this site design was a total overhaul of the way we think about our business.
I’m not going to talk to you about color schemes and font choices, that’s not important. What’s important is that you find your way around easily, and enjoy spending your time on our website. Every action has been put in place to make your experience make sense. This change has been a long time coming, but we feel like it’s well worth the wait.
We didn’t want to settle for scrappy code when we had such a beautiful design, so we hired the best for development too. Rob Neu turned Brody’s Photoshop creation into an amazing Genesis child theme. We were lucky to catch Rob just before he stopped taking client work. This may very well be his last client development project, and as far as we’re concerned, he’s going out on top. The good news is that Rob is still very much around and is innovating the WordPress Audit process, as well as entertaining the masses on the WP Bacon podcast.
There will be a follow up post to highlight some of the amazing back end functionality that’s been put in place to make this the most well built, modular, high performing WordPress theme I’ve ever had the pleasure of using. I realize I’m biased, but I’m really not exaggerating here.
Introducing A la Carte Services
I know this is potentially way too much awesome for one blog post, but I promise we’re getting close to the end. We’ve been providing one off services for our clients since the beginning, but it’s never been prominent on our website, and we constantly get inquiries from people wondering if we offer certain services. In conjunction with our new website, we’re introducing our WordPress services. We’re launching with our nine most frequent requests, but will be adding more shortly. If you don’t see the service you need, send us a note. Chances are it’s already in the works.
With our new services, people now have the ability to purchase the service that they need for their WordPress site with just a few clicks, and without having to contact our support team. As soon as you’re done checking out, your project will be loaded into our work queue, and a member of our team will contact you with a timeline, or to make any necessary clarifications. We want to make the process as simple as we possibly can, and this is a huge step in the right direction.
The Fun Stuff
What would a launch party be without an awesome promotion?

Also, any customers who make a purchase from our service center, will automatically receive a coupon code for an additional 10% off one of our monthly plans. Meaning certain customers could save up to 35% off our monthly plans for the lifetime of their subscription.
We haven’t done everything perfect. Not even close. But we have done our best, and are 100% committed to continuing to do our best. We wouldn’t be the company we are today without our amazing clients, and we’re not going to forget that any time soon. Actually, ever.
Note: I hate to even bring this up, but I just want people to know that we know there are still a few minor styling things that need to be resolved on the new site design. We’ll have those fixed real soon 🙂
